Now it's winter for many of us, you may be tempted to do some indoor workouts using the app Sensor Only mode. There are a choice of Bluetooth, Bluetooth SMART, ANT+ and Android Wear devices that are compatible with the app and may be used in Sensor Only mode. These sensors can also be used when using the app in GPS mode. An alternative to using a sensor for indoor workouts is to simply log your workout as a manual activity on the website or in the app.
Regular Bluetooth sensors
Heart rate monitors using regular bluetooth are compatible with older phones running Android 2+. There is a choice of the Zephyr HxM, Polar Wearlink Bluetooth or Zephyr BioHarness.
